Job Description We are currently looking for a pilot instructor to perform advanced mountain training, aircraft type and emergency training, vertical reference / water bucket training, basic and advanced NVG training and night rating. Here are the detailed responsibilities of the role: Provide high-quality flight instruction to military and civilian students, ensuring safety, proficiency, and adherence to Transport Canada/FAA regulations. Conduct both ground and in-flight training sessions for students at various experience levels. Create and execute customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and progress. Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement. Ensure proper maintenance of aircraft by conducting pre- and post-flight inspections and reporting any issues. Maintain accurate and thorough student records, including flight logs and performance evaluations. Stay updated on industry best practices, aviation standards, and changes in regulations. Foster a professional and encouraging learning environment that promotes safety and confidence. Conduct check rides, practical exams, and assist students in preparing for certification or course completion. Coordinate with flight school staff to schedule lessons, aircraft, and other resources efficiently. Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skills: 3000+ hrs with an extensive operational background 1000 hrs minimum mountain experience Type ratings on Bell 407,AS350 – H125, EC120 Longline Proficient Instructional background, teach both in the classroom and the aircraft - an asset Working in a team-oriented environment Self starter / takes initiative Word/Excel/PDF/ PowerPoint – Proficient Can work night shifts (NVG training or on contract) English and Spanish speaking Additional Information Salary Ranging from $133,000 to $180,000.
