Manager, Marketing and Fundraising Part-Time | Canadian Mental Health Association | Duncan, BC About the Opportunity CMHA-CVB is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-oriented Manager of Marketing and Fundraising dedicated to diversifying and expanding the organization’s revenue streams. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager leads the design and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, provides strategic leadership, and proactively cultivates partnerships and coordinates campaigns, events, and legacy giving programs. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership and project management skills with hands-on expertise across digital marketing, content, campaigns, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration. The Manager will provide a strong on-the-ground presence in the Cowichan Valley building relationships, networking, and engaging with local businesses, donors, and community partners. About CMHA - Cowichan Valley Branch The Canadian Mental Health Association - Cowichan Valley Branch, facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness and addiction. CMHA-CVB operates Warmland House Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing Services, Sobering and Assessment Centre, Mischa Lelum Youth Emergency Shelter, Adult Outreach programs, a Youth Centre/Youth Connect, Family Capacity Program, SAIP, and other counselling/therapeutic programs for children, youth, and families. Position Details Employment type: Part-time Work arrangement: Hybrid Location: Duncan, BC Hours: 30-35 hours per week; occasional evening or weekend work Salary: $36.05 per hour Reports to: Executive Director Anticipated start date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for all fundraising, donor stewardship, and legacy giving initiatives Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising strategies to diversify revenue streams Drive fundraising growth by proactively engaging community members, businesses, and organizations to secure corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and individual donations Communicate the impact of CMHA Cowichan Valley programs, to volunteers, donors, and sponsors Manage fundraising budgets, track performance, and report outcomes Promote opportunities and partnerships through public speaking, presentations, personal contact Identify, cultivate, and solicit new funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships Coordinate campaigns and events, including multi-channel fundraising efforts, galas, community fundraisers, and donor appreciation gatherings Develop and execute community engagement strategies, leveraging traditional media and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) to expand reach and inspire participation Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers, fostering collaboration and grassroots engagement Create compelling content and promotional materials for campaigns, events, and donor communications Maintain and update the CMHA-CVB website Oversee donor database (Canada Helps) and reporting systems, ensuring accurate tracking, stewardship, and compliance with CRA and provincial fundraising regulations Qualification: A diploma or degree in Marketing/Communications, Business Administration (non-profit focus) A minimum of 3 years’ experience with non-profit organizations or an acceptable combination of education and experience Experience recruiting and managing volunteers Experience in event and campaign management Knowledge of local community preferred Membership in Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is an asset Personal vehicle and valid class 5 license and Business Insurance (employer paid) Successful clearance of a Criminal Record Check for the vulnerable sector Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary of $36.05 per hour Extended health, dental, vision, Long-Term Disability, life insurance, and employee assistance benefits Municipal Pension Plan Paid vacation and sick leave Flexible scheduling and hybrid work How to apply: Please submit a resume and cover letter no later than September 11, 2026, to [email protected] CMHA-CVB adheres to the values of diversity, cultural safety, and respect for all, as identified in its Anti-Racism Statement.
