Miner Production U/G Class 3 Underground Blaster Helper Permanent Position – Unionized Position to fill 1 Reference MI26-52 Hourly rate 43,34$ Deadline to apply september 25, 2026 The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. Privileges & benefits * Competitive remuneration, coupled with additional benefits such as bonuses, as well as a comprehensive range of social benefits including group insurance, a generous retirement plan, telemedicine, the PAEF, and many more. * Enriching and stimulating learning opportunities. * A friendly, committed, and collaborative working environment Responsibilities Reporting to the Supervisor, the main responsibilities of the Blaster Helper are: * Execute all assigned explosive loading tasks as directed by the lead blaster, in compliance with current standards and regulations. * Assist the blaster in executing blasting work or any other task requiring the use of explosives. * Prepare the site for the driller. * Maintain inventory tracking of explosive and non-explosive products. * Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift. * If required, assume the responsibilities of the blaster. * As needed, perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor. Qualifications * Have the skill to operate a CAT AD30 mining truck, a CAT 420F backhoe, and a Jeep Land Cruiser boom truck. * Possess a General Explosives Permit. * Have obtained a high school diploma. * Familiarity with electronic initiation systems is an asset. * Possess mining modules FMTM 1 to 5 and 7. * Have 0 to 2 years of experience. * Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve internal communications.
