Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Work setting Retail business Tasks Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.) Assign sales workers to duties Hire and train or arrange for training of staff Authorize payments by cheque Authorize return of merchandise Sell merchandise Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Organize and maintain inventory Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers Supervise office and volunteer staff Area of specialization Retail store Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Attention to detail Personal suitability Accurate Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Dependability Initiative Judgement Ability to multitask Screening questions Do you have experience working in this field?
