Field Operator, Edson North – Overview Reporting to the Edson North Production Foreman, your key accountability will be the safe and efficient operation, care, and control of Canlin production assets. The field operator will be responsible for all aspects of gas and oilfield operations in a safe and effective manner including operating sour gas wells, field compression, pipeline pigging, plunger lift systems, monitoring chemical rates, all contributing to a safe working environment for Canlin. You will be required to provide direct guidance and support to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: production, operating cost, corporate values, environment, health and safety, training, regulatory and emergency response. Location: Edson Area, AB The Role This is a full-time role in the Hanlan Robb field and consists of a 7 on 7 off work shift (shift subject to change). This role will support the Hanlan Robb and PECO areas, and occasionally support other assets within the Edson District. The following are key responsibilities: Assist the Production Coordinator in the safe and reliable operation of the area’s wells and facilities Ensure equipment, facilities and wells are maintained to meet throughput requirements Demonstrate and uphold all Canlin’s rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures applicable to the operation Maintain a high level of communication with the Integrated Remote Operations Center (IROC), Operations and MRA teams Utilize opLYNX to maintain accurate daily equipment logs, records, production readings and all electronic reporting formats Requirement to be on-call Promote an adaptive, and collaborative environment in the field operations team Support district objectives to meet Canlin’s goals as a low-cost producer Please note: This position is within the scope of the collective agreement between Canlin Energy and Unifor Local 508-A. Compensation will be determined as per the collective agreement. The Person Trades or Technical Certification is considered an asset Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to motivate others in a high performing, fast-paced work environment Comfortable working in a sour gas processing environment and facilities A strong understanding and experience in upstream gas processing, and gathering system optimization will be considered an asset High school diploma Valid Class 5 driver’s license Certification in H2S Alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG This person will be required to meet physical demands associated with operational work (lifting up-to 50lbs, use of stairs/ladders, work outdoors in various weather conditions) Takes initiative to create positive change and brings forward new ideas and initiatives Ability to shift priorities and focus to complete tasks in a timely manner
