Résumé du poste

VP, Business Development & Government Relations — Canada (Fractional) About Canny Vision Canny Vision builds edge AI cameras for intersection safety analytics — real-time multimodal counting, safety conflict detection, and traffic behaviour analytics, processed entirely on-device with no raw video, facial recognition, or licence plate data transmitted. We work with Canadian municipalities to bring smarter, safer intersection technology to their transportation networks. The Role We're looking for an entrepreneurial, well-connected professional to lead business development and government relations for Canny Vision across Canada. Your mandate covers two fronts: Government relations & municipal sales — driving government interest toward signed contracts, building relationships with municipal, provincial, and federal decision-makers, and navigating public-sector procurement (RFPs, group purchasing organizations, pilot-to-contract pathways). Commercial business development — identifying and closing opportunities with private-sector businesses seeking video analytics solutions, from initial outreach through to signed contracts. This is a fractional, performance-based role. It's built for someone adding a fast-growing govtech company to their portfolio — not necessarily leaving current work. Well-suited to a fractional executive, independent consultant, or someone winding toward retirement who wants meaningful, flexible involvement. What we're looking for Proven experience in government relations/public affairs (municipal, provincial, or federal) and/or B2B technology business development, ideally in transportation, smart cities, govtech, or video/computer-vision analytics Existing relationships with government stakeholders and/or private-sector buyers across Canada Comfort navigating public-sector procurement — RFPs, GPOs, sole-source and pilot-to-contract pathways Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with a small, fast-moving team Bilingual (English/French) an asset for Quebec market development What you get Performance-based compensation tied to closed contracts, other high potential benefits Full flexibility to structure this alongside other client work A seat shaping both government and commercial go-to-market strategy at an early-stage govtech company Direct access to the founder/CEO To apply: [email protected]
