We are now inviting enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our event staff team and be part of the excitement during Canucks games, Warriors games, and concerts at Rogers Arena. POSITION OVERVIEW: Apprentice Cooks have the opportunity to work and receive valuable training in a premium kitchen environment. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position. A typical shift includes: * Working and training in a premium kitchen environment * Maintaining food and kitchen safety with a focus on food preparation standards * Implementing and enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the kitchen * Partnering with Lead Cooks and Cooks to ensure the highest quality food for our guests * Other duties as required REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays with various start times based on the kitchen needs * Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs. * Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time * Positive attitude and a willingness to learn * Completion of Food Safe Certificate is an asset * Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit with a minimum of 8 months of validity remaining * A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM) * This is an onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver Vancouver is one of the most diverse cities in the world and Canucks Sports & Entertainment strives to create a workforce that is inclusive, equitable, and represents our beautiful, unique community. Apprentice Cooks are responsible for food preparation and maintaining high kitchen safety and sanitary standards. They partner with Lead Cooks to ensure the highest quality food is delivered to guests during events.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays and be physically capable of lifting 40 lbs. A Food Safe Certificate is considered an asset.
