DIVISION 8 SENIOR DETAILER ENGINEER

Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time Role Description Cap8 Doors & Hardware™ is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Division 8 Senior Detailer Engineer to join our growing team. This remote position is responsible for preparing detailed architectural door, frame, and hardware schedules; reviewing construction documents; performing accurate take-offs; and coordinating specifications with architects, contractors, and clients. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise to support production and project execution while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, industry standards, and project requirements. Collaboration with project managers, estimators, and internal teams will be essential to the successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed Division 8 door, frame, and hardware schedules Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents Perform accurate material take-offs and project detailing Coordinate project requirements with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients Ensure compliance with ADA requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards Provide technical support throughout project execution and production Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to maintain project timelines and accuracy Assist in resolving detailing conflicts and project-related issues Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings Experience detailing Division 8 products, including: Hollow metal doors and frames Wood doors Finish hardware Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to create accurate schedules and material take-offs
