AI Enablement Developer (Python/API)

The Role We are seeking an experienced AI Enablement Developer to build and enhance AI-powered capabilities within financial services. You’ll bring strong software engineering expertise, with a particular focus on Python development, API integration and the practical adoption of AI tools. You’ll work collaboratively with development teams to understand their workflows, challenges and opportunities, helping develop and integrate AI-enabled solutions that improve how technology is delivered. What You’ll Do * Design, develop and maintain robust Python-based applications and APIs. * Build and enable new AI-driven capabilities and features. * Develop, refine and optimize prompts for AI tools and large language models (LLMs). * Support the adoption and integration of AI solutions, including GitHub Copilot and other AI models. * Collaborate with development teams to understand workflows, challenges and opportunities for AI enablement. What We’re Looking For * 5+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on engineering capabilities. * Strong Python development experience, alongside an understanding of software development lifecycles and developer workflows. * Experience designing, developing or integrating APIs. * Practical exposure to AI/LLMs, prompt engineering, AI tools, fine-tuning or model enablement. * Ability to combine software engineering expertise with hands-on AI experience to support the development and adoption of AI-enabled solutions. Bonus Points For * Java development experience. * Experience working with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools. * Knowledge of LLM prompting, model tuning or AI implementation practices. Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment. Our compensation policies and salary ranges are designed to allow our people to progress through the salary range as they demonstrate strong performance and develop in their role over time. The base pay offered to selected candidates will be within the salary range and the placement will vary based upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity. Canada Pay Transparency $118,000—$152,000 CAD

Design and develop scalable backend Python applications and integrate AI-powered services for financial services clients. Optimize prompts using Generative AI techniques to build production-ready enterprise solutions.

Requires strong commercial experience in Python backend development and essential hands-on expertise in Prompt Engineering and LLMs. Ability to build RESTful APIs and collaborate within Agile teams is necessary.
