Description At Cheticamp Boatbuilders, we are looking for a Welder/fabricator/mechanic to join our team. Location: 80 Hache Road, Cheticamp Nova Scotia Duration: Full-time, permanent position. Duties And Responsibilities Transfer detailed sketches and AutoCAD designs to the fabrication process. Plan, fabricate, and weld intricate boat components. Install newly fabricated/repaired components to boats Repair components aboard boats Operate mobile welding machine aboard vessels Capable and comfortable driving company vehicles while towing and carrying mobile gear Will require cross training in fiberglass and painting as project schedules demand. Skills And Requirements Competent and confident in the 4 primary forms of welding (MIG/TIG/SMAW/FCAW) Capable of physically demanding labour, long hours, and sometimes compromising positions Willing to work in confined spaces Comfortable and capable of working as a team/tandem/solo Education We require a Red Seal welder, or of a comparable level of experience.

The role involves fabricating and welding intricate boat components based on AutoCAD designs and detailed sketches. Responsibilities include installing and repairing components aboard vessels and operating mobile welding equipment.

Candidates must be a Red Seal welder or possess a comparable level of experience. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW welding is required, along with the ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding labor.
