Validate Azure landing-zone prerequisites, subscriptions, quotas, identity, policies, and shared services. Design private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, PDBs, upgrade and maintenance patterns. Lead IaC module and pipeline implementation for AKS and dependencies. Implement Entra ID, RBAC, workload identity, Key Vault, registry, policy, and admission controls. Integrate networking, observability, backup, DR, and FinOps controls. Design and execute AKS platform, security, performance, resilience, upgrade, and recovery tests. Lead AKS pilot application onboarding and production-readiness evidence. Produce AKS build books, runbooks, administration guides, and KT. Required Technical and Consulting Capabilities AKS architecture and administration Azure CNI, private clusters, ACR, Key Vault, Azure Policy and Defender Terraform/Bicep and Azure DevOps/GitHub Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana and Log Analytics Kubernetes security, availability, autoscaling, upgrades and DR Helm/Kustomize and application onboarding Experience Profile 8+ years in Azure engineering and 4+ years delivering production AKS platforms in enterprise environments. Preferred Certifications Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate DevOps Engineer Expert CKA/CKS Terraform Associate Required Behaviours Strong ownership, structured problem solving, and clear documentation. Ability to work collaboratively with Architecture, Cybersecurity, IAM, Network, Operations, Finance, and application teams. Comfort working in a fast-paced, fixed-timeline program with formal dependencies and acceptance evidence. Ability to communicate risks early, propose practical compensating controls, and avoid unsupported commitments. Commitment to knowledge transfer and transfer of administrative control to client. Key Deliverables and Success Measures Assigned design, implementation, testing, documentation, and handover outputs are completed to agreed quality and schedule. Requirements are traceable to backlog, code/configuration, tests, evidence, and acceptance. Solutions comply with approved architecture, security, technology, and information-management standards. Risks and dependencies are identified early and actively managed. Client’s teams can operate and maintain the delivered capabilities following transition. The hourly compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $75-$95 CAD. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
