Location: This role is remote anywhere in CanadaAbout the job you’re considering: We're looking for a hands-on Senior Network Platform Engineer to build and operate large-scale cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes networking, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and observability, with a passion for performance, automation, and reliability.Your role: Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, DNS Firewalls) Configure, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters Implement and optimize Cilium, CNIs, Egress Gateway, and Network Policies Build reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure deployment Performance test and tune Kubernetes-native networking components Develop Kubernetes controllers/operators using Go Build monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana & Prometheus Collaborate with platform, SRE, security, and engineering teams Must have skills: Strong Kubernetes administration and networking experience Deep knowledge of AWS networking services Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise Experience with Cilium and Kubernetes Network Policies Golang development experience is a plus Experience with the Grafana and Prometheus observability stack is a plus Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills mandatory Nice to Have: Amazon EKS Advanced eBPF/Cilium advanced networking ArgoCD or Flux (GitOps) CKA/CKS certifications AWS Networking or Solutions Architect certifications Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: CAD 68,874 - CAD 147,504 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. Design and manage large-scale cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, including networking components like VPCs and Transit Gateways. Configure and scale Kubernetes clusters while implementing observability solutions and automating deployments using Terraform.

Requires strong experience in Kubernetes administration, AWS networking services, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. Proficiency in Golang, Cilium, and performance tuning is highly valued for this senior-level engineering role.
