At CaraCo, we pride ourselves on ensuring we take care of our team members and customers. *Key Responsibilities* * Apply coatings such as paints, varnish, stains, stipple, wallpaper, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces, interiors, and exteriors alike, all in a professional manner * Prepare surfaces for coatings by cleaning, scraping, stripping, filling, patching, and sanding * Maintain existing paint surfaces by matching and tinting paint products * Determine appropriate colors for new or replacement applications through consultation with the Maintenance Supervisor * Always remove all door handles, switch plates, thermostat covers, etc. prior to painting, and replace when the paint has dried * Operate compressors, spray equipment, and other small power equipment * Install, repair, and maintain drywall, wallpaper, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing * Clean equipment, paint mixing area, and work area * Mark and store different types of coatings in compliance with related fire and health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures * Assemble and disassemble scaffold and climb ladders, using approved safety methods * Dispose of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials, safely and appropriately * Reporting and tracking all work in Yardi * The foregoing responsibilities must be consistent with CaraCo?s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures *Education and Experience* * Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education * College diploma or vocational training preferred but not essential * Minimum three years related experience in a similar building maintenance technician role *Other Requirements* * Employment is conditional on a clean criminal records check * Valid driver?s license _Please note that CaraCo is an inclusive employer that values diversity and authentic connection.
