Select Food Products requires a results-oriented and focused National Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of approximately 40 existing food service accounts, with a focus on deepening relationships and expanding business with top strategic customers. The National Account Manager will report to the Sales Director, based within the North York Office. The successful candidate will be analytically driven - focused on data to further cultivate the existing accounts while building strong and lasting customer relationships. Strong candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) 5-7 years of account management/sales experience within food manufacturing, food service, ingredients Data-driven mindset, exceptional proficiency with analyzing sales, margins, and forecasts to build action plans Strong MS Excel skills, coupled with CRM administration expertise Proven track record of driving growth within foodservice segment (Top 100 Quick Service Restaurant, Casual Dining and Hospitality accounts) Experience collaborating with foodservice distributors and brokers Proven ability to manage and grow multiple accounts within a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Partnership development, ability to build long-term relationships while maintaining a results-driven growth mindset Active listening skills to understand customer needs, deliver creative solutions Excellent systems knowledge to include Microsoft 365 Excellent cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills Proven capability to positively influence and drive action at all levels of the organization High degree of professionalism with a genuine passion for the food industry Key responsibilities of the role: Serve as the primary customer-facing lead for key accounts, maintaining regular face time with customers to understand needs, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships. Own and grow a portfolio of approximately 40 existing food service accounts, with a focus on deepening relationships and expanding business with top strategic customers Use ERP sales data, BI reporting, and analytics to assess performance, identify trends and whitespace opportunities, monitor profitability and compliance, and support data-driven growth recommendations. Bring structure by consolidating documentation across sources, including contracts, payment terms, broker fees, pricing, customer requirements, and account commitments. Implement and action disciplined account management routines, including bi-monthly business reviews, structured account plans, customer scorecards, follow-ups and co-created customer forecasts. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Customer Service, and the newly onboarded broker to resolve issues, support innovation initiatives, and deliver on customer commitments. Investigate and resolve customer challenges using a structured problem-solving approach, along with providing recommended solutions.
