At Carefor, we know our work matters, and we’re proud of the impact we have in people’s lives Overview As the Supervisor, Personal Support Services (PSS), you are responsible for daily delivery of personal support services provided by PSWs. You will complete personal support care plans with new clients, update care plans as required, engage with service funders (primarily Ontario Health at Home Care Coordinators), participate in client case conferences, and support the resolution of identified service concerns. In collaboration with the Professional Practice Team, you will support the orientation of new staff, provide ongoing staff training, follow up with any identified job performance issues and complete regular performance reviews. In doing so, you will ensure high quality personal support services are delivered to Carefor clients. Further, you will use evidence-based, best practice guidelines supported with informational data to ensure successful team performance. This position description outlines the key responsibilities and the nature of work. It is not a comprehensive inventory of all duties and tasks of the position. This is a 15-month term position based in Ottawa. Responsibilities Oversees and assists the Manager with the clinical operation of the PSS program Acts as a resource, support and mentor to the PSS staff by leading and coaching staff to attain individual and operational performance objectives Contributes to human resources management by supporting labour and employee relations which includes performance development, management, and recognition. Ensures Carefor policies & procedures affecting the delivery of Personal Support Services are implemented by PSW staff Completes annual performance reviews on assigned Personal Support Services staff Identifies and discusses with the Manager employee issues requiring disciplinary action Assists in determining the required staffing complement based on identified needs Assists Managers in the employee recruitment process by anticipating and monitoring staffing needs and initiating appropriate action to obtain/maintain an adequate compliment of staff Participates in a regular after hours On Call rotation to support urgent operational needs outside of regular business hours. Exigences

Candidates must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensed in Ontario with at least two years of community experience. A minimum of one year of leadership experience is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
