Primary Objective Of The Position Safe and timely processing of Cargo and aircraft loading/offloading within prescribed parameters. Essential Position Functions Loading/offloading of aircrafts and trucks. Operating ground support equipment. Repeated and continuous lifting of packages up to 60lbs. Sort packages based on customer, airport of destination, and other parameters. Communicate piece counts, and package information to Lead Hands, and Supervisors. Handle customer packages, and freight with due care and attention. Ensure all safety and security protocols are adhered to. Perform general housekeeping duties as required. Perform tasks associated with Dangerous Goods Handling/Acceptance. Meet time-sensitive deadlines for freight build-up/breakdown as part of a team dynamic. Learn and apply specific training modules required for the position (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention, etc.…). Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Working in and around aircraft daily. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence or equivalent. Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance). Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly. Ability to work within a “team first” environment and complete common goals within time-sensitive deadlines. Excellent punctuality and attendance habits. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast-changing customer requirements. Willingness to take direction with a keen interest in further development within the local operation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexible to work shift work, weekends, and stat holidays. Be willing to be subject to a background check; clearance is required.
