Salary: Up to $80K Key Responsibilities Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to multiple lawyers, coordinating with internal teams including calendar and billing departments. Initiate and manage litigation matters, including creating and maintaining client files within firm standards. Monitor court and administrative deadlines, proactively identifying timeline issues and alerting lawyers as needed. Draft, coordinate, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and materials for filing with courts and administrative agencies, including service on other parties. Manage e-filings in accordance with applicable court and agency rules. Maintain accurate and timely filing of documents and case materials within the firm’s document management systems. Correspond with clients to obtain required information and documentation to support ongoing matters. Coordinate transcription of audio recordings and assist with the preparation and assembly of legal documents with office services. Maintain lawyer contact lists and support general practice administration. Submit weekly task logs outlining ongoing assignments and projects, and assist with the review and revision of client pre-bills as required. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within labour and employment litigation. Strong knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and administrative tribunal processes. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to support multiple lawyers and manage competing deadlines. Demonstrated ability to anticipate practice needs and manage litigation timelines proactively. Advanced experience preparing Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with lawyers, clients, and internal teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote), Adobe, and document management systems such as NetDocuments. Expertise in preparing accurate and compliant legal documentation and correspondence. Knowledge of legal terminology and law firm operations; a Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset.
