Your Scope Includes Support managers/supervisors in maintaining, managing and ensuring that company prevention initiatives are communicated and understood. Ensure Compliance with all regulatory requirements including incident reporting and recordkeeping Maintain and continuously improve health & safety policies, procedures and programs. Act as a key point of contact for safety inspections and audits, supporting preparation and follow-up. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard analysis across areas of responsibility. Track, analyze and report on safety KPI’s, safety trends, and best practices to identify opportunities and drive proactive risk reduction strategies Support plant management team with investigation and analysis of OHS events ensuring consistency in risk analysis, root cause identification and appropriate corrective actions Work with local HR to ensure H&S training program for employees and managers is completed on schedule, while adhering to Cascades’ H&S requirements. Champion a people-first, safety-first culture through visible floor presence and engagement. What You Bring You're a natural fit for the H&S Coordinator role if you have: Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, HR or related field. 5+ years of experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing or industrial environments Equivalent combination of education and experience considered Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC safety regulations and compliance requirements Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health & Safety Consultant (CHSC), or working toward designation (strong asset) Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification (Parts 1 & 2) First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, reporting, tracking) Experience with systems such as SAP, Power BI, or safety tracking tools (e.g., Conformit) is an asset Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel between sites If you bring the same care to who you are as to what you do, we’d love to meet you!
