The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant – Operations to support our Superintendent’s Office Leadership Team. About The Role Reporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Administrative Assistant – Operations plays a central role in the effective operation of the CISVA and in implementing the policies, procedures, and regulations established by CISVA and the Ministry of Education and Child Care for Independent Schools. This is a dynamic, people-facing position ideal for someone who values confidentiality, professionalism, and service. What You’ll Do Oversee the BC Child Care Program, ensuring effective coordination and compliance with applicable requirements Serve as the first point of contact for teaching applicants, responding to inquiries and guiding them through the application process Responsible for maintaining accurate records for all non-teaching staff within the Human Resource Management System (HRIS). Process Criminal Record Checks and Pastoral Reference Letters for all staff Coordinate school banking signatory changes in collaboration with the Executive Director of Finance and Administration Compile data and reports, including instructional hours, enrolment reports, and budget submissions Provide event support for Faith Development Day, and the Catholic Educators Conference Manage day-to-day office operations, including reception, vendor relationships, mail, and equipment coordination Serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and the office’s Safety Warden What We’re Looking For Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency with office software and data management systems (HRIS experience an asset) A high degree of discretion and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality A collaborative, caring, and professional approach A commitment to and respect for the mission and values of Catholic education What We Offer Salary: $55,000 – $67,000 annually, commensurate with experience Comprehensive Extended Health coverage Dental coverage Pension Plan Generous paid time off — four weeks’ annual vacation, 15 paid sick days per year Additional paid holidays beyond statutory holidays, including Good Friday, Easter Monday and Boxing Day A supportive, faith-centered work environment and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Catholic education in the Vancouver Archdiocese How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter and résumé to [email protected] .
