This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position that will support and work alongside our current bookkeeper. This role is well-suited to someone who is dependable, collaborative, and confident managing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities in a busy school setting. Responsibilities Include Administering payroll, benefits, and pension processes Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records Reconciling bank accounts, preparing journal entries, and producing month-end financial reports Preparing and distributing T4s and Records of Employment (ROEs) Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets Preparing GST and WCB filings Issuing tuition tax receipts to families Preparing the audit package and assisting auditors during the annual mandatory Ministry of Education audit Performing other accounting and administrative duties as needed Experience And Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll administration, and full-cycle accounting Experience using Sage 50 Accounting software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team Careful attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality Questions regarding this position may be directed to Principal Mieszko Krol at [email protected].
