If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, CEDA has opportunities for you! Job Description CEDA is currently seeking 6 motivated Labourers to support the Hydrovac Driver/Operators. Locations for these positions will be required for various mining operations within multiple areas in Northern Ontario, such as Sudbury, Chapleau and Timmins. Must be flexible to travel. What We Offer: Full-time and Temporary work available. $25 - $32 per hour Benefits and pension start upon hire Accommodation and Travel provided Eligible for Overtime Shift work will be required, typical shifts will be 7-7 AM or PM Skill development and opportunity for growth Opportunity to learn and gain experience on hydrovac trucks and high-pressure water equipment Variety: changing work scopes from one day to the next – there is always a new challenge Be a part of a true team. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great people Key Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with the operation and maintenance of hydrovacs, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacity Ensure safety for all team members and property Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time Other duties as assigned Role Specifications Valid Class G driver’s license with no more than 5 demerits in the last two years 1+ years experience in an industrial environment is an asset but not required Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Ability to travel throughout Ontario (flexibility in scheduling is required) Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment Experience and comfort with confined spaces Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis) Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely Additional Information The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
