Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Finance ERP – Oracle EBS) Location: Vancouver, BC (Downtown – 5 Days in Office) Job Type: 12-Month Contract Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level About the Role Are you a systems thinker who bridges the gap between Finance and Technology? We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials to support, optimize, and scale our global retail finance systems. This is a 12-month contract based out of our vibrant Downtown Vancouver office (5 days a week in-office). In this role, you will partner closely with our Finance and IT teams to drive global standardization, implement critical system enhancements, and ensure our financial platforms run flawlessly. Key Responsibilities Be the Oracle EBS Guru: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle EBS Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA, PO, Costing) and core integrations with external platforms like Coupa, GTNexus, and Accruent (Lucernex). Translate Needs into Action: Lead discovery workshops, conduct fit-gap analyses, and translate complex business needs into Agile-ready requirements (epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira). Hands-on Configuration: Configure and maintain Oracle EBS Financial modules to support ongoing business changes and compliance requirements. Standardize & Streamline: Partner with regional finance teams to identify process improvements and drive global process standardization. Bridge the Technical Gap: Perform functional and technical analysis to design system integrations and customizations alongside our dev teams. Own Quality Assurance: Oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle—from test planning and script creation to managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution. Problem Solve: Perform root-cause analysis on system issues to implement permanent, long-term fixes. What We’re Looking For The Experience: 7–10+ years of dedicated business and systems analysis experience. ERP Expertise: Deep, hands-on functional knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials (or a similar Tier-1 ERP like SAP S/4HANA, JD Edwards, Oracle Fusion). Finance Acumen: Strong foundational understanding of core accounting concepts, operational finance, and retail finance processes. Agile Champion: Proven experience delivering in an Agile/Scrum environment (backlog refinement, sprint planning, and managing dependencies). Tech Stack Savvy: High proficiency in Jira (for tracking/user stories) and Confluence (for documentation and knowledge management). QA Leadership: Experience leading functional, regression, SIT, and UAT testing activities. Location & Presence: Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in our Downtown Vancouver office. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. An Accounting certification is highly preferred!

The Senior Business Analyst will act as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle EBS Financials, leading discovery workshops and translating business needs into actionable requirements. They will also oversee the testing lifecycle and perform root-cause analysis on system issues.

Candidates should have 7-10+ years of business and systems analysis experience, with deep knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials and a strong understanding of accounting concepts. Experience in an Agile environment and proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence are also required.
