What you will do We have an exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing Team as we are actively recruiting for a Machinist producing quality detailed component parts using a manual lathe. This position reports to the Machining Department Group Leader. What we’re looking for Read and interpret blueprints to determine production process to machine a quality part. Set up, reference planes, surface location, dimensions and tolerances. Verify settings by measuring positions, assessing first off verification and sample work pieces. Maintain specifications by observation, troubleshooting, and adjusting. Document actions by completing production and quality logs. Achieve production requirements by aligning work orders to priorities in manufacturing. Adhere to safety and quality standard practices. Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work environment. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives. What you need to succeed Secondary School Diploma required. Machinist, Mold Maker, or Tool and Die certified Journeyperson, an asset In depth knowledge of manual lathe. Blueprint reading and comprehension required. Sound judgement and attention to detail.
