About Mount Milligan Mine Located approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George in central BC, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant. Mount Milligan operates with comfortable camp accommodations equipped with private washrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, an onsite gym, and other recreational activities. Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region. Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site. About The Opportunity Mount Milligan is seeking a skilled Trade, Mine Mechanic (Heavy Duty Mechanic) to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mine equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role focuses on preventative maintenance and timely repairs to maximize equipment availability and support production goals. You’ll work closely with the Mine Operations and Maintenance teams to keep equipment running smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair mine equipment, including major component replacements and rebuilds. Perform preventative maintenance (inspections, lubrication, oil changes, failure analysis). Diagnose faults using computer programs and order parts as needed. Test repaired equipment for proper performance. Comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and collaborate with Mine and Mill Operations. About You High school diploma or equivalent. BC or Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification, required. Minimum 3+ years of experience with surface mining or heavy industrial equipment. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. WHMIS and TDG certifications considered assets. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent safety record and ability to work independently or in a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse conditions. Working Conditions Camp-based role working 12-hour days on a 7 day on/7 day off rotation, with accommodation provided during rotation. Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, heavy equipment, noise, and moving parts. PPE always required. Safety-sensitive environment with zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Bus transportation provided from regional locations. Exigences
