*FOOD INDUSTRY COMPANY LOOKING FOR AN SENIOR ACCOUNTANT* Busy Food Production company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team based in Mississauga, Ontario. *Who We Are:* We are a food manufacturing and consulting company focused on culinary product development, menu design and production. In addition to our own branded products, we produce private label food products and HMR menus for some of the largest retailers, restaurants and airlines in Canada and internationally. *Job Description* In this position, the candidate is responsible for working closely with the Director Finance to manage the day-to-today accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, journal entries, and general ledger for the food production facilities, using QuickBooks software. *Main Responsibilities*: * Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, Journal Entries, and general ledger. * Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. * Maintain and update records in QuickBooks efficiently and accurately. * Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, if applicable *Qualifications*: * *Bachelor's degree in commerce *or equivalent. * Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role * Very strong technical skills; proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and *QuickBooks*. * Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations. * Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. * Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational and time-management abilities. * Passion for food or cooking is an asset. * CPA preferred or working towards the designation Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * On-site parking * Paid time off * Vision care Work Location: In person
