About Us CHEK ABC is a Christian Home Education and On-Line school with students across BC. Our central office is located in beautiful Nelson. Position Overview This position includes in-person support in the community and group home (4 hours) plus SLP sessions (1 hour) for a total of 5 hours per week. Rate per hour: $23 to $29 Preferred Qualifications & Experience Experience using TouchChat is considered an asset. Candidates willing to learn TouchChat are encouraged to apply. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with families and support teams. Ability to reliably attend and work at the student’s home-based and community learning locations. What You’ll Do Attend SLP (Speech-Language Pathology) sessions with the student. Help a Grade 12 student communicate using TouchChat. Support the student in the community and group home by working on IEP goals. Provide in-person support to a Grade 12 student in their home and community to help them communicate using TouchChat. Assist the student in achieving IEP goals and participating in learning activities and SLP sessions.

Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with families. Experience or willingness to learn TouchChat is preferred, and reliability in attending home-based locations is required.
