Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools serves approximately 10 500 students, 500 teachers and 250 support staff in southern Alberta. Christ The Redeemer Catholic Schools provides an authentic Catholic education to students in traditional schools in Canmore, Brooks, Drumheller, High River, Okotoks, De Winton, Oyen, and Strathmore, and provides online schooling, home education, and shared responsibility programs to students all over Alberta and around the world. CTR Catholic invites applications for the position of Human Resources Officer. This role provides essential administrative support to the human resources department and is responsible for the overall administration of divisional Occupational Health and Safety, ensuring full compliance with division administrative procedures and Alberta OH&S standards. The successful candidate needs a strong working knowledge of labour relations, human resources processes, workplace incident investigation, occupational health and safety regulations and WCB claim administration to ensure divisional operations remain safe, supportive, and compliant. The successful candidate will support ongoing safety training and emergency preparedness within schools, while maintaining high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This position requires periodic travel throughout the division. An Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) certificate or diploma, prior experience in WCB claim administration and/or school-based health and safety programs is required. Knowledge of Alberta OH&S legislation and Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit requirements is also considered an asset. This position, which is located at the Catholic Education Center in Okotoks, will begin this fall, a date to be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate.
