Position Overview The Director, Total Rewards & HRIS role is responsible for providing direction on Total Rewards systems strategy and execution, solutions and connectivity with other organization wide systems which leverage HRIS data as system of record. Acts as the technical lead in the design, development, implementation, and administration of innovative total rewards programs including compensation, benefits and retirement savings programs. The role ensures effective program management by developing data management approaches which streamline and automate processes and provide program intelligence to maximize ROI while partnering with VP, Total Rewards, HR team and business leaders on an array of Total Rewards initiatives. Responsibilities Project manages the implementation of new total rewards technologies or enhancements to existing technologies including HRIS/payroll, compensation, performance, benefits and pension Acts as the technical lead for compensation programs by developing policies, tools and processes to ensure programs are effectively managed and support CIBC Mellon’s pay for performance philosophy Guides implementation of additional Ceridian Dayforce HCM modules (onboarding, total rewards statements, enhanced reporting, dashboarding) and/or other enhancements to the system Leads the design, implementation and management of robust reporting and analytics that drive total rewards program design and strategy decisions to maximize ROI on total rewards spend Develops strong partnerships with HR partners and business leaders at all levels across the company to proactively understand their needs, identify market trends and analyze competitive data with respect to attracting, retaining and rewarding a high performing diverse workforce Manages the year end compensation process including configuration and rollout of the Compensation Planning system, leader training, and Executive and HR Committee reports Supports change within the organization with appropriate tools, communication strategy and implementation with leaders Manages vendor relationships ensuring service standards are being met while partnering with internal vendor management to ensure adherence with CIBC Mellon’s vendor management policies and procedures Researches best practices (e.g. benchmarking) and lead the design of new total rewards initiatives to support the total rewards strategy Provides functional guidance and mentorship to the Compensation and Benefits team regarding program and procedural changes, and technical systems proficiency This role reports into the VP of Total Rewards Qualifications 7 years of compensation experience in general with a mindset to build and ability to pivot quickly 3 – 5 years of total rewards experience Demonstrated experience with developing and updating of HRIS data interfaces Expert data management and reporting analytics skills specifically excel, HRIS, compensation planning systems set-up and implementation/customization Working knowledge of People Fluent (Talent Management – Performance and Compensation Planning) and Ceridian Dayforce HCM would be an asset Exposure to sales compensation management and system implementation/management Strong project management experience CIBC Mellon's Values Get it Right Every Day: Deliver service excellence while always acting with the highest ethical standards Put Clients at the Centre: Advocate for clients by listening, sharing knowledge, and bringing the right solutions forward Be One Family: Challenge, empower and recognize your colleagues Take Ownership: Speak up, speak out, and make things better CIBC Mellon is committed to taking all reasonable steps to accommodate the needs of all individuals.
