The Opportunity Pioneer Manor is growing with the addition of a second Nurse Practitioner to help enhance the quality of care provided to our 433 residents. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative interdisciplinary team where you can build meaningful relationships, provide person-centred care, and make a lasting impact on the lives of older adults. As a Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide comprehensive primary care, lead clinical best practices, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and play a key role in improving resident outcomes. What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive primary care to residents within your RN(EC) scope of practice. Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatments, and coordinate referrals to specialists. Support complex clinical decision-making and provide guidance to nursing staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, best practice development, and clinical committees. Mentor and educate staff, residents, families, and substitute decision-makers. Help advance innovative approaches to long-term care while promoting excellence in resident care. What You’ll Bring Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (Extended Class) – RN(EC). Minimum of one year of nursing experience, including some supervisory responsibilities. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice, and person-centred care principles. Experience working with electronic clinical documentation and medication administration systems. Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience in gerontology, palliative care, or chronic disease management is considered an asset. Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing. French language skills are an asset. Provide, at own cost, a current Two-Step Mantoux Test (TB), Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector), Valid CPR/Health Care Provider (HCP) Level C Certificate, and N95 mask fit. Salary And Additional Benefits The current range of pay for this position is $58.27 to $69.53 per hour.
