We’re looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and safety-savvy individuals to join our team as Aquatic Services Attendants! In this role, you will be providing support to programs and services at a supervised aquatic facility. The position oversees the safe use of pool features, such as the waterslide, lead pool birthday parties, and aquatic games and activities. The Aquatic Services Attendant will support swim lessons and aquatic programs, help set up equipment and supplies, and step in with basic first aid emergencies and performs minor cleaning duties. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your energy, attentiveness, and enthusiasm will shine. You’ll work under the guidance of a supervisor who will support your growth and evaluate your performance based on service quality, safety, and your ability to make each patron’s visit a great one. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Some knowledge and familiarity with aquatic programs and services. Ability to make decisions and enforce rules and regulations in a confident and tactful manner. Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and diplomatic manner. Ability to be creative and lead games for a variety of age groups and abilities. Ability to effectively communicate with the public and other aquatic staff in emergency situations. Ability to provide safe operation and supervision of play equipment and features, such as waterslides, pool toys and games. Ability to perform duties for extended periods of time. Ability to effectively perform minor water rescue. Ability to work in a humid environment and under varying weather conditions. Desirable Education And Experience Grade 10 Education and some related experience working with the public; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. LICENCES AND CERTIFICATES Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross (current within 2 years) or National Lifeguard Pool (current within 2 years) Standard/Intermediate First Aid with CPR C & AED (current within 3 years) Hours Of Work This is an auxiliary position with no ongoing regular schedule of hours. Additional Information A Police Information Check will be required as a condition of employment for successful candidates. (Note: This is not required as part of the application process but will be needed upon consideration for employment.) All licenses, certificates, and registrations relevant to this position must be valid and current when the posting closes and should be uploaded with your application. Exigences
