This is an exempt position which forms part of the management team in the organization and is primarily responsible for all external and internal corporate communications, promotional initiatives and public relations that support communications, including social media applications and website maintenance. The Communications and Events Manager works collaboratively with all necessary Departments and community groups as part of coordinating civic events and activities that the City delivers directly or where the City is partnering or sponsoring a group or organization.Qualifications:Our ideal candidate is a strategic and creative communications professional with a degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, complemented by at least five years of progressiveexperience in communications, marketing, public relations, or event management.
