POSITION DESCRIPTION We are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Real Estate Investment Team. The person in this role will play an important part in the growth and optimization of Claridge’s real estate portfolio and the Real Estate Funds managed by the team. They will actively participate in the full investment life cycle, from identifying capital deployment opportunities to actively and rigorously managing investment performance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in large-scale transactions within a globally active family office, while being exposed to the full investment process as applied to real estate. This position is aimed at candidates who demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for the real estate sector and investment field, a strong work ethic, and a keen curiosity in Claridge’s investment activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Contribute to the design and analysis of financial models (pro forma projections, DCF, waterfalls, sensitivity/scenario analyses) to assess the potential returns (IRR, equity multiple) of acquisition, disposition, and development opportunities. · Actively participate in monitoring portfolio projects (asset management) in close collaboration with our developer partners. · Collaborate on the review of financing and refinancing strategies. · Contribute to the due diligence process by collaborating with internal and external experts. · Support the preparation of investment recommendations for the Investment Committee by synthesizing risks, opportunities, and market trends · Contribute to the development of strategic value-creation plans with operating partners including revenue and expense optimization, capital investment programs, rental strategies, or change-of-use strategies. · Contribute to “hold vs. sell” analyses to determine the optimal timing for value crystallization. · Assist with macroeconomic analysis of the Quebec and Canadian real estate investment sectors. · Perform any other related duties required by the supervisor. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and skills · Excellent proficiency in business software and analytical tools, notably Excel. · Critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure. · Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals. · Rigor, attention to detail, and excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a good understanding of real estate finance. · Time-management and project-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities. · Good understanding of basic accounting principles, financial modelling, and transaction structures. · Good knowledge of the real estate development process. · Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. · Fluency in both spoken and written French and English. Candidate profile · A strong passion for real estate and private equity investing. · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior-level stakeholders. · Rigor, autonomy, and a strong sense of initiative. · Ability to learn quickly, with strong intellectual curiosity and personal motivation. · Excellent attention to detail and an exemplary work ethic. · A track record demonstrating excellence (academic performance, community involvement, and/or extracurricular activities). · Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. · One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience; experience in commercial real estate is an asset. Education · Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or economics. A graduate degree is an asset. · Holding the CFA designation, or being in the process of obtaining it, is an asset. INTERESTED? Exigences
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or economics and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel, a strong understanding of real estate finance, and fluency in both English and French are required.
