Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Brampton, ON (On-Site) Salary: $110,000–$130,000 base plus bonus Industry: Manufacturing Position Type: Backfill About the Opportunity Our client is an established manufacturing organization in Brampton seeking a Finance Manager to support the Director of Finance and lead the accounting team through a period of operational growth. You will own the month-end close process, internal controls framework, and day-to-day financial operations across a multi-function accounting team. The role combines hands-on accounting leadership with strategic partnership across operations, plant management, and executive leadership, balancing compliance and reporting rigor with the kind of operational agility that manufacturing environments demand. . Key Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process end-to-end, including balance sheet reconciliations (bank, intercompany, accruals, prepaid expenses) and timely resolution of reconciling items Implement, document, and maintain internal controls across all accounting functions; conduct periodic assessments and remediate gaps to ensure asset safeguarding and accurate reporting Prepare monthly financial results and variance analysis in partnership with the Director of Finance; escalate material variances and support action planning Manage daily cash positioning and prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts; monitor working capital and recommend actions to optimize cash positioning Own the end-to-end capital expenditure process, including authorization requests, budget tracking, post-completion reviews, and capitalization of completed projects Lead and coordinate the accounting team across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting functions Manage budgeting and forecasting for plant manufacturing, maintenance, and overhead costs; communicate assumptions and results to plant leadership Support the external audit process, manage regulatory filings (HST, StatsCan, etc.), and ensure timely submission and compliance What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred 6–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with hands-on manufacturing environment background Proven ability to lead the month-end close process and manage balance sheet reconciliations at scale Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software systems; hands-on manufacturing or plant accounting experience required Ability to implement and maintain internal controls; comfortable translating compliance frameworks into day-to-day processes Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across departments Comfortable operating in a structured manufacturing environment with clear operational rhythms and reporting cadence Nice to Have Exposure to process automation or Power BI Experience with AI integration in financial processes Next Steps We do appreciate all interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
