You'll own rolling forecasting, product costing and margin analysis, capital investment evaluation, and the weekly and monthly reporting packages that go to ownership and the board. You'll have one direct report and deep support from a strong costing resource who knows the product portfolio in detail. The distinguishing feature of this role is proximity to the business. You'll sit in commercial meetings when quotes are being priced, walk the production floor, and be close enough to operations and supply chain that when a customer's volume shifts in the forecast, you already know why. The VP Finance is explicit that the person who succeeds here is business-minded before accounting-minded, curious to the point of stubbornness, and comfortable challenging assumptions in front of non-finance stakeholders.
