As a System Designer, you will be involved in the complete system development lifecycle of our Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers. The GNSS engineering team design best-in-class system and software solutions for our customer. You will apply and maintain the various development standards imposed by the avionics field while bettering the industry standards for the GNSS team, along with developing innovative solutions! As a GNSS System Designer, Your Key Responsibilities Include Participate in the development of new GNSS system solutions that will revolutionize the aerospace industry, in accordance with company standards and industry methodologies; Participate in all phases of development, including peer reviews; Resolve multiple technical challenges related to new and existing technologies; Maintain communication with clients to understand their problems and propose effective solutions; Act as a key player in the development, integration, and formalization phases of our GNSS receiver solutions Requirements Hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Two (2) or more years of experience in GNSS development Knowledge and pertinent experience on GPS/GNSS receiver theory, design, and application Ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical users Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and design skills Strong mathematical skills Used to work with AEH and SW developers in the implementation and validation of the requirements; Must speak and write French or English Assets Familiar with Requirements management systems (DOORS) Familiar with DO-178 Certification process Familiar with minimum operational performance requirements DO-229, DO-253, DO-401 Familiar with simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink Familiar with Communication protocols (RS-232, RS-422, A-429, Ethernet, etc.) Experience in avionics development What We Offer 100% paid group insurance and employer-matched pension plan Student financial assistance program Free electric charging stations Low-cost on-site cafeteria Closed between the holidays World-class company on a human scale CMC is committed to employment equity and to the equal access program. Participate in the complete development lifecycle of GNSS receiver solutions, including design, integration, and formalization. Resolve technical challenges and maintain communication with clients to propose effective system solutions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and at least two years of experience in GNSS development. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in GPS/GNSS receiver theory and application.
