Title: Safety Advisor Location: St. John's, NL Coastal Safety Systems is seeking a dedicated Safety Advisor to join our team Role Description This is an as/when required hybrid position located in St John’s, NL with travel to client sites in Newfoundland & Labrador as well as Internationally. The Safety Advisor will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and developing safety programs, procedures, and policies for our clients. Conducting inspections, audits and GAP assessments. The Safety Advisor will also work directly with clients to perform safety inspections, identify risks, and create safety plans that follow all regulatory guidelines and standards. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional safety role Experience in the oil and gas or marine industry Expertise with local and international safety legislation, codes and standards Excellent knowledge of safety audits, incident investigations, hazard identification and risk assessments, and emergency response plans Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment CRSP designation an asset A degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or related field is an asset Marine experience an asset We are an equal opportunity employer who offers a flexible work schedule and an excellent benefit plan!
