Geological Technician - Temporary Contract: The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Geological Technician (Temporary) to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation. Responsibilities: * Complete geotechnical logging of oriented diamond drill core; * Maintain core logging data in database; * Sample and cut diamond drill core (fit-tested respirator required); * Track and catalogue drill core and samples; * Manage core sample shipments; * Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment, and perform all job functions according to Safe Operating Procedures; * Assist geologists as required. Required Qualifications & Skills: * Fundamental geologic knowledge considered an asset; * Post-Secondary Education in geosciences considered an asset; * Core logging and cutting experience considered an asset; * Experience working with oriented core considered an asset; * Valid driver's license; * Able to lift core boxes weighing up to 60 pounds; * Physically fit to perform the duties of the position; * Training provided. Additional Information: * Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp. * Eligible for monthly bonus. * Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake. The Geological Technician will perform geotechnical logging of diamond drill core and manage core sample data and shipments. They are also responsible for cutting samples and operating equipment in accordance with safe operating procedures.

Candidates should have fundamental geological knowledge and the physical ability to lift 60-pound core boxes. A valid driver's license is required, and post-secondary education in geosciences is considered an asset.
