Cafe Front-of-House Assistants

Café Front-of-House Assistants We are looking for Front-of-House Assistants to join our Cogges Kitchen Café team. You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team, support our Café manager, and show initiative with a positive, can-do attitude. You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, ensuring high standards in the preparation and serving of drinks and food, and diligent in matters of hygiene and food safety. If you’re a trained barista, great! If not, we’ll provide training. Key Tasks Taking orders and payments. Preparing hot and cold drinks and serving food. Providing a high level of customer service at all times, including table-service. Clearing tables and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the café and outside seating areas. Taking all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of yourself, other staff and volunteers, in accordance with the Cogges Health & Safety policy and statutory requirements. Any other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time. Various shifts available, weekdays and weekends, and occasional evenings for our events (hours will be variable) ideally with flexibility to cover colleagues’ sickness and holidays. Casual contract. The role involves taking orders, preparing food and drinks, and providing high-quality customer service including table service. Additionally, the assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the café and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Candidates should have a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for excellent customer service. While barista training is a plus, it will be provided to those who are not already trained.
