Senior Product Designer - Capital Markets (FX Modernization)

The expected base salary range for this position is $80/Hr - $84/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join a high-impact Capital Markets technology team supporting a flagship FX Modernization (FXMod) initiative. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys solving challenging user experience problems, and is passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered trading and financial technology solutions. Working as part of a cross-functional Agile team, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Traders, and business stakeholders to transform product requirements into high-quality design solutions that drive development and improve user experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong UX methodology with exceptional visual design skills, is highly proficient in Figma, and enjoys leveraging emerging AI tools to accelerate design delivery. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Product Design Lead the complete product design lifecycle from discovery through production. Create user journeys, information architecture, workflows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications. Translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences. Produce development-ready design documentation for engineering teams. User Research & Validation Conduct user interviews, discovery sessions, contextual research, and workflow analysis with traders and business users. Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions. Rapidly iterate designs based on research findings and stakeholder feedback. Advocate for user-centered design throughout the product development lifecycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Capital Markets stakeholders. Participate in brainstorming workshops and design ideation sessions. Present design concepts and rationale to technical and business audiences. Support engineering during implementation to ensure design quality. Design Systems & Standards Contribute to and maintain enterprise design systems. Ensure consistency across products through reusable components and design guidelines. Promote UX best practices across project teams. Innovation Experiment with AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies to improve design workflows and productivity. Continuously evaluate new methods for improving user experience and delivery efficiency. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX, Graphic Design, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience). 3+ years of Product Design, UX Design, or UI/UX Design experience. Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for complex digital products. Expert proficiency with Figma for design, prototyping, collaboration, and developer handoff. Experience conducting: User research User interviews Workflow analysis Usability testing Experience designing transactional enterprise applications. Experience creating: Wireframes User flows Information architecture Interactive prototypes High-fidelity UI designs Design specifications Experience collaborating with Agile product and engineering teams. Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing products for Capital Markets, Trading, Foreign Exchange (FX), Investment Banking, or Financial Services. Experience working on trading platforms, financial dashboards, or enterprise applications. Mobile application design experience (iOS and/or Android). Familiarity with enterprise design systems. Experience working with AI-assisted design tools and Large Language Models (LLMs). Degree in HCI, UX, Graphic Design, or a related field. They are comfortable collaborating directly with traders, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, translating intricate workflows into intuitive experiences. Experience within Capital Markets or financial technology environments is highly desirable, along with a passion for leveraging AI tools to enhance design processes and accelerate delivery.

Lead the end-to-end product design lifecycle for a Capital Markets FX Modernization initiative, from discovery to production. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to translate complex financial requirements into intuitive user experiences and high-fidelity mockups.

Requires a degree in Design or HCI and 3+ years of experience in Product or UX design, with expert proficiency in Figma. Candidates must have a strong portfolio demonstrating experience with complex enterprise applications and user research methodologies.
