Position Title: Owner Operator Class 1 Flatbed Driver Location Start: Edmonton or Calgary Deliveries across: Western Canada Type of Employment: Full-time Shift Schedule: 70 hours per week We’re looking for dependable, customer-and safety oriented focused drivers to become part of our dynamic delivery team. Responsibilities: Delivering products to various retail locations across Western Canada Perform physical unloading of goods (hand bombing) of up to 50 lbs Operate flatbed and curtain side trucks to transport a variety of loads safely and efficiently Secure cargo using chains and straps, and other equipment following safety guidelines Ensure on-time, safe, and professional delivery to customers Accurately document all deliveries and maintain detailed logs Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs. Have flexible availability to cover customer demands Requirements: Valid Class1license Physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs. regularly (up to 75 lbs. as needed) Minimum 1 year, of verifiable Class 1 experience Minimum 6 months of verifiable flatbed experience Must have verifiable driving experience within the past 3 months/ 1 year Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada Strong knowledge of safety regulations and load securement procedures Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts Clean CVOR, abstract Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service Excellent customer service skills Ability to complete eLog and inspection reports accurately Must have Canada-wide driving experience Must have experience strapping loads in all weather conditions Why People Love Working at Canada Cartage Canada Cartage offers a supportive, team-oriented workplace built on collaboration and respect, with opportunities for career growth and development.
