NOTICE NO. 8 POSTING: 2026-08-18 VOCATIONAL TRAINING TECHNICIAN- (100%) REGULAR- ACCESS CLEGHORN This full-time regular position is available immediately, located at ACCESS Cleghorn at 163 Cleghorn Street, Saint-Lambert, QC J4R 2J4. NATURE OF WORK The principal and customary work consists of assisting teachers and staff responsible for the preparation, presentation, supervision and evaluation of work related to learning concepts and exercises in the context of Vocational Training and Adult General Education. CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS: In conjunction with instructors, demonstrates, provides instructions, advises, guides, and supervises students with regard to clinical and laboratory tasks related to patient care, the use of medical equipment, simulation tools, and health-related procedures and science classes. Ensures that safety, hygiene, infection control, and ethical standards are strictly observed and provides appropriate examples. Uses audiovisual resources, facilitation techniques, and other instructional methods to support student learning. May be required to promote the nursing program and maintain professional relationships with healthcare institutions and community partners. Will be required to prepare and organize learning materials and assist with the coordination of clinical practice tools and resources. May support students in the use of simulation labs including science labs and nursing equipment for practical assignments and skill development. Maintains inventory of science, medical and simulation equipment, supplies, and learning materials, and prepares reports as required. Ensures that all equipment is kept in good working condition by performing inspections, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs or replacements as needed. Uses a computer and appropriate software to support instructional and administrative tasks, and conducts research on equipment, and instructional resources via the internet. Will be required to discuss contract, prepare bids and handle the sale and purchase of materials. Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Centre Director. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a technical Diploma of College Studies in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority. Or Hold a valid qualification certificate in one of the health programs offered. Experience in the health or science sector an asset (medical lab. tech). OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Excellent knowledge of English and French, spoken and written. Knowledge of nursing is an asset. Must have at least one (1) year of pertinent experience. SALARY: $955.50 TO $ 1235.85 per 35-hour week, according to qualifications and experience.
