THE ROLE Position: Shift Supervisor Competition: CNS 2026-08-25 Location: Cobequid Pass Toll Plaza, Great Village, Nova Scotia Working Hours: 12 Hour rotating shift; 0500-1700, 1700-0500 hours Wage: $24.00 per hour Closing Date: September 15, 2026 Duties and Responsibilities: While duties may vary, the responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to: Supervising and leading employees on assigned shifts Effectively coach, motivate and provide feedback when necessary Ensuring compliance with “Atlantic Highway Management Corporation’s Standard,” as well as Operating Procedures, Site Work Instructions, CNS Policy and Procedures, and other related documents Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of communication, including all Incident Reports Completing service activity reports for all equipment malfunctions in the lanes Collecting money from Toll Collectors and submitting accurate bank deposits Resolving/addressing all complaints in a timely, professional, and satisfactory manner Keeping the Site Supervisor, client and other stakeholders apprised of all events and incidents as applicable Providing break relief for Toll Collectors Conducting patrols of the site The competition winner may be progressed to assist the Site Supervisor when required WHO WE’RE SEEKING? Eligibility Requirements Candidates must: Be aged 19 or older Not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted Be able to provide fingerprints and complete a criminal record check Be eligible to apply for, and pass: - Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability - Emergency First Aid & CPR Be able to communicate effectively in English (the ability to work in both official languages would be considered an asset) Hold a valid Nova Scotia Driver's License Qualifications and Skills The incumbent must demonstrate experience with the following key qualifications, skills, and attributes: Supervisory experience considered an asset Six (6) months (or more) Toll collection experience beneficial Highly professional and discreet Superior communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills Excellent coaching, negotiating, and influencing abilities Knowledgeable of CNS Policies and Procedures Good working knowledge of computer-based applications Be qualified in, or have the ability to pass, CNS advanced leadership/management training courses (CSC 1 and 2) READY TO JOIN US?
