Real Estate Financial Analyst

Role Description The Real Estate Financial Analyst is a part-time remote role focused on supporting real estate investment and advisory decisions through rigorous financial analysis. On a day-to-day basis, the analyst will build and maintain financial models for real estate projects, evaluate cash flows, returns, and risk scenarios, and prepare concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The role includes conducting market and property-level research, assisting with appraisal-related analysis, and performing due diligence on potential acquisitions, disposals, or development opportunities. The analyst will collaborate with project leads to review investment assumptions, validate data sources, and ensure that recommendations are clear, well-supported, and aligned with client objectives. Regular responsibilities also include tracking key performance indicators for active projects and contributing to the improvement of analytical tools and processes. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights. Experience in due diligence activities, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and market information. Solid foundation in finance, including discounted cash flow analysis, IRR, NPV, and capital structure concepts. Knowledge of real estate investments and real estate appraisal methodologies. Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications or progress toward them (e.g., CFA, real estate finance courses) are an advantage. Prior experience in real estate finance, investment analysis, or related fields is preferred but not strictly required for highly capable candidates.
