Résumé du poste

About The Job Sr. Project Director A leading construction organization is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Director to lead complex, high-value utility infrastructure projects. Project scopes may include multi-site greenfield substations, long-span high-voltage transmission corridors, and major EPC developments involving multiple subcontractors, regulatory stakeholders, and remote-site logistics. This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of field execution, commercial management, and executive oversight. The successful candidate will be accountable for safe, high-quality project delivery while protecting financial performance, managing risk, and maintaining the confidence of clients and key stakeholders. Frequent travel to active project sites and regional offices is required. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership for complex utility construction projects, from mobilization through commissioning and closeout. Direct multidisciplinary field execution across electrical, civil, and structural scopes while maintaining schedule, safety, quality, and productivity targets. Resolve critical issues involving multiple work fronts, subcontractors, remote locations, and high-risk activities. Own project financial performance, including forecasting, cash flow, billing, cost control, risk, and margin. Lead major contract negotiations, change management, claims, and commercial discussions with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure compliance with QA/QC programs, safety requirements, permits, environmental obligations, and regulatory standards. Serve as the senior project representative with clients, Indigenous communities and organizations, regulators, partners, and executive leadership. Align and mentor project managers and field leaders while supporting resource planning and talent development. Key Skills and Qualifications: At least 10 years of progressive project leadership experience in utility, infrastructure, industrial, or similarly complex construction environments. Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multidisciplinary projects involving substantial regulatory, environmental, commercial, and client oversight. Significant experience with electrical utility infrastructure, such as substations, high-voltage transmission systems, or major EPC projects, is strongly preferred. Advanced expertise in contract administration, commercial risk management, claims, negotiation, forecasting, and project financial performance. Strong working knowledge of construction QA/QC programs, permitting processes, safety systems, and field-based project delivery. Experience directing multiple subcontractors and geographically dispersed teams. Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. PMP, PgMP, or an equivalent recognized project or program management certification. Proficiency with SAP, Primavera P6, Procore, and project reporting or analytics platforms. Strong executive presence and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to active sites and regional offices. Key elements of the role: Success in this position will be demonstrated through safe and predictable project delivery, strong commercial results, effective risk management, trusted client relationships, and the development of capable project and field leaders. The role offers a path toward broader portfolio leadership, with future accountability for multiple major projects, expanded business impact, and increased exposure to senior internal and external stakeholders.
