To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with outstanding attention to detail, great problem solving and communication skills. Reporting to the Maintenance Shop Manager, the Truck and Transport Mechanic will:Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide preventative maintenance services for our transportation fleetPerform repairs and services on various types of trucks, trailers, and reefer units Perform preventative maintenance at prescribed intervalsDue diligence with inventory Management and Paperwork for parts and repair ordersOther task that arise withing a repair shop work environmentA successful candidate will:Have experience reading and understanding work orders, task procedures and technical manualsAlways make safety a priorityMaintain a clean work areaRed Seal Journeyperson would be an asset; however, for the right candidate a 3 rd or 4 th year apprentices may be consideredEffective Communicator as well as a Team playerIf you're looking to join a supportive team environment with opportunities for personal and professional development, apply now and become part of our dynamic team.The Why Why Cooke?
