Job Details Job Title: General Labourer – Recycling Facility Location: Richmond, BC Pay: $18.25 per hour Employment Type: Temporary to Hire / Temp-to-Permanent Start Date: Immediately Schedule: Full-time opportunities available Transportation: Your own reliable transportation is required Work Environment: Recycling / Industrial Facility Staffing Agency: Cooper’s What You'll Be Doing As a General Labourer, you will work as part of a team in a busy recycling facility. Duties may include: Sorting recyclable materials Removing and separating materials from a conveyor or sorting line Performing general labour and production duties Lifting and moving materials Keeping the work area clean and organized Following workplace safety procedures Working safely around industrial equipment and machinery Performing other general labour duties as assigned by the supervisor Maintaining a positive and productive attitude throughout the shift This is hands-on, physical work and requires employees who are comfortable standing and working for extended periods. Requirements Requirements To be successful in this position, you must: Be comfortable working in a recycling facility Have your own reliable transportation — this location is not conveniently accessible by public transit Have CSA-approved steel-toed work boots that extend at least 6 inches above the ankle Be able to lift up to 75 pounds Be physically capable of performing repetitive, labour-intensive work Speak and understand English very well so you can safely communicate with supervisors and coworkers Follow safety instructions and workplace procedures Be reliable, punctual, and ready to work Be comfortable working around recycling materials, conveyors, machinery, and an industrial environment Be willing to work as part of a team Please do not apply if you do not have the required 6-inch-or-higher steel-toed work boots and reliable transportation.
