As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Aerospace Designer to join our Design team in Port Alberni, BC. In this full-time, onsite position, you will lead innovative aircraft design projects and take ownership of complex structural aircraft modifications that support aerial firefighting operations worldwide. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Design structural and mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs using CATIA V5. * Oversee both new designs and revisions to existing ones. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team. * Prepare reports and data packages for design approval and certification. * Collaborate with manufacturing and other departments to support aircraft modifications. * Assist in the development and updates of the Design Manual. * Carry out other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: * A degree in Aerospace Engineering. * At least 15 years of aerospace design experience. * At least five years of experience using CATIA V5. * Advanced knowledge of aircraft sheet-metal design, machined components, and mechanical installations. * Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements, aerospace materials, and manufacturing processes. * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
