Reporting to the Recreational Therapist the Recreation Assistant will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreation and leisure programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs and interests of the residents. The Recreation Assistant works collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote resident awareness and participation in programs and opportunities and support recreation & leisure programming for the residents. This position will: Model the organizations' mission, vision, and values, consistently representing Covenant professionally and positively. Collaborate effectively as a professional team player, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s mission, vision, and values. Qualifications: Therapeutic Recreation Diploma / Degree required Possess a valid Class 4 driver's license is required or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire Ability to maintain good working relations with staff, public and outside agencies Flexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlook Valid/current First Aid and CPR Two (2) years of Therapeutic Recreation experience preferred PLEASE NOTE: Covenant Care offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package All employees new to Covenant Care must provide a criminal record check not older than 3 months ahead of your commencement date. Exigences

Requires a Therapeutic Recreation Diploma or Degree and a valid Class 4 driver's license (or willingness to obtain one). Valid First Aid and CPR certifications are required, with two years of experience preferred.
