General Information The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual Truck Driver-Glass opportunities in the Recycling & Waste Management Division within the Operations Department. Reporting to Solid Waste Logistics Superintendent, the Truckdriver-Glass contributes to the effective operation of CVRD Recycling Facilities through the professional operation of CVRD single axle trucks and through the efficient and safe collection and hauling of glass recycling. As directed, provides support to and backs-up the curbside and roll-off Truckdrivers Qualifications Secondary School graduation or equivalent Experience professionally driving a commercial truck adhering to routes and a schedule, preferably in a related field Experience in customer relations and conflict management Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s License with air endorsement Basic First Aid View the full job description listing all the job requirements. Hours of Work As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work per week. Shifts are scheduled based on operational need. The successful applicant must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes a variety of days and hours per week. Salary This position is unionized (USW Local 1-1937). The Step 1 wage rate is $32.35 per hour and the Step 2 wage rate is $34.33 per hour (2026 wage rates). Application Instructions Please apply by 4:30 pm on the date indicated. Exigences
