PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Supervisor Production role presents a compelling opportunity to lead high‑impact track construction projects and contribute meaningfully to the success of rail operations. This position is accountable for overseeing the safe, efficient, and timely execution of assigned projects in full alignment with established safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational expectations. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Collaborate with the Manager Production, maintaining clear communication and providing regular updates on project progress, key metrics, and challenges Ensure compliance with all CPKC regulations, standards, and safety protocols in the execution of assigned projects, across all team members and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and accountability Conduct thorough investigations into breaches of CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence Contribute to the development and implementation of optimized workflows and process enhancements to deliver ongoing efficiency and performance improvements Evaluate planned capital work, validate material readiness, and confirm execution strategies to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or general equivalency Valid driver's license Minimum 2 years' experience with Track Renewal/Maintenance Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time, with expenses covered by CPKC. This position currently on an 5 on, 2 off schedule with a territory that covers Broadview to Thunder Bay and ending in Winnipeg Proven ability to lead and execute project plans and schedules effectively Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve goals Proficiency in Microsoft Excel WHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER: Flexible and competitive benefits package Competitive company pension and/or retirement plans Employee share purchase plan Performance incentive plan Annual fitness subsidy Part-time studies program PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Medical and Drug Testing This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required. Management Conductor Program Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
